ETHICS STATEMENT
Scientific Contribution Oil and Gas (SCOG)
The Scientific Contributions for Oil and Gas is the dissemination of information on research activities, technology engineering development and laboratory testing in the oil and gas field. Manuscripts in English are accepted from all in any institutions, college and industry oil and gas throughout the country and overseas. SCOG is the only one journal that publishes the oil and gas field manuscript in Indonesia.
Ethical Guideline for Journal Publication
Journal publication has been accessed on https://journal.lemigas.esdm.go.id/index.php/SCOG. The author of Journal must follow Clear policies (that allow for transparency around who contributed to the work and in what capacity) should be in place for requirements for authorship and contributorship as well as processes for managing potential disputes. The journal will consider for publication including authorship criteria such as not considering multiple submission and redundant publication.
Scientific Contribution Oil and Gas (SCOG) is international journal which contains articles in oil and gas with the ISSN: 2541-0520 (online) and ISSN: 2089-3361 (printed).
Allegations of Research Misconduct
In preventing the research misconduct occurred including plagiarism, citation manipulation and data falsification/fabrication, the editor of Scientific Contributions for Oil and Gas equipped with plagiarism and citation checking software.
Meanwhile, checking for data errors in research can be prevented by three stages reviews, namely first expert editor, peer reviewer and second expert editor.
Besides, prior to publication of the journal, authors are required to sign a statement stating that the scientific information contained in the manuscript is accurate, free from fabrication, falsification, plagiarism and duplication.
If scientific misconduct or the presence of other substantial research irregularities is a possibility, the allegations are shared with the corresponding author, who, on behalf of all of the coauthors, is requested to provide a detailed response. After the response is received and evaluated, additional review and involvement of experts (such as statistical reviewers) may be obtained. For cases in which it is unlikely that misconduct has occurred, clarifications, additional analyses, or both, published as letters to the editor, and often including a correction notice and correction to the published article are sufficient. By responding appropriately to concerns about scientific misconduct, and taking necessary actions based on evaluation of these concerns, such as corrections, retractions with replacement, and retractions, SCOG journal will continue to fulfill the responsibilities of ensuring the validity and integrity of the scientific record.
Publication decisions
All submitted journal articles should be subjected to peer-review. The papers will be review by blind peer reviewer, who are the experts from various disciplines and not included in the editorial staff.
On Scientific Contribution Oil and Gas, each articles will be reviewed three times which are first expert editor review, peer reviewer and second Expert Editor review. After each review, the author is required to revise the paper in the accordance to review result. The submitted manuscript is not guarantee for acceptance. The acceptance of manuscript must be in accordance with the recommendation of expert editor and peer reviewer.
Complaints and Appeals
SCOG journal has a clear procedure for handling complains against the journal, Editorial Staff, Editorial Board or Publisher. The complaints will be clarified to respected personal with respect to case of complaint. The scope of complaints include anything related to journal business process, i.e. editorial process, found citation manipulation, unfair editor/reviewer, peer-review manipulation, etc. The complaint cases will be processed according LEMIGAS Quality Management System. The complaint cases should be sent by email to: jurnal.lemigas@esdm.go.id.
Fair play
The Peer review and Editor at any time evaluate manuscripts for their intellectual content without regard to race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political philosophy of the authors.
Confidentiality
The chief editor and all editorial members will maintain the confidentiality of information from submitted manuscripts to anyone other than the appropriate author, reviewer, potential reviewer, other editorial adviser, and publisher, as appropriate.
Disclosure and conflicts of interest
Every submitted manuscript to journal will be blinded reviewed by Editorial Expert and Peer Reviewer. The journal peer reviewers and Editorial Expert has no idea about the identity of the author of the manuscript being reviewed to prevent the conflict of interest and disclosure.
Duties of Reviewers
The reviewer has the task of assisting the Editor in determining which manuscripts can be published and helping the author to improve the quality of the manuscript. Reviewers are required to adhere to basic principles and scientific analysis in conducting the process of reviewing a manuscript. Reviewers must check the accuracy and correctness of data sources and references/citations, the accuracy of the concept, the objectivity of the contents of the manuscript and carry out a neutral review.
Duties of Authors
The author is required to send a manuscript which is a summary of research results and has never been published in any publication with the rules following the article writing template. Must ensure that the data submitted is accurate, original and reliable, and must maintain the neutrality of the manuscript.
Ethical Oversight
If the research work involves chemicals, fields procedures or laboratory equipment that have any unusual hazards inherent in their use, the author must clearly identify these in the manuscript in order to obey ethical conduct of research using chemical, fields and laboratory equipment. If required, Authors must provide legal ethical clearance from association or legal organization.

Peer-Review Process Policy
All submitted journal articles should be subjected to peer-review. Post-Publication Discussions and Corrections
SCOG journal has a policy of accepting discussions and corrections to articles published by readers. In this case, readers provide discussions and corrections to published articles and can contact by email to the Editor-in-Chief explaining the discussions and corrections. The Editor in Chief accepts that the discussion and corrections will be published in the next edition as a Letter to the Editor. Dear authors can reply/answer discussions and corrections from readers by sending a reply to the Chief Editor. Therefore, the Editor can publish the answer as a Reply Letter to the Editor.
