CCUS-Aksi Mitigasi Gas Rumah Kaca dan Peningkatan Pengurasan Minyak CO2-EOR

Emisi CO2 pada saat ini sangat tinggi yaitu pada tingkat lebih dari 400ppm di atmosfer, karena pembakaran bakar fosil yang terus menerus meningkat seiring dengan aktivitas industri yang terus bertambah. CO2 dalam jumlah besar yang dapat diterapkan dalam kegiatan CCS dan CCUS berasal dari industri atau pabrik. CCUS sangat potensial diterapkan di Indonesia, mengingat banyak lapangan tua dan sumber CO2 yang belum dimanfaatkan. Telah dilakukan studi CCUS atau CO2-EOR dengan kasus lapangan di Sumatera Selatan. Dengan analisis mulai screening lapangan, studi laboratorium, simulasi reservoar, integrasi sumuran, penangkapan dan transportasi CO2, serta monitoring. Kajian simulasi reservoar menunjukkan bahwa injeksi CO2 dapat menaikkan perolehan minyak serta juga dapat terjadi penyimpanan CO2 yang merupakan mitigasi gas rumah kaca.
